Monument Health names Davidson permanent President, CEO

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Sept. 13, 2018) — The Monument Health Board of Directors has named Paulette Davidson the permanent President and Chief Executive Officer of Monument Health. This unanimous decision by the Board comes after Davidson was named Acting President and CEO on July 18.

“The Monument Health Board is excited about the future under Paulette’s leadership and has full confidence in her abilities to lead our organization forward,” said Lia Green, chair of the Monument Health Board of Directors. “In her position, Paulette will work closely with the Senior Executive Team and the Board to pursue the goals outlined in the Monument Health strategic plan.”

Davidson, who has been with Monument Health since November 2015, was originally hired as Chief Operating Officer. In the spring of 2017, she added the role of President of the Rapid City Hospital and Market. During her time at Monument Health, Paulette has earned the respect of physicians, caregivers and community members throughout Western South Dakota.

“I am proud to be part of Monument Health. I’ll work every day to positively impact how we deliver high quality care, provide a caring experience, be a great place to work, impact our communities and position Monument Health for the future.”

During her three decades in health care, Davidson has built a successful track record in developing high-performing teams, partnering collaboratively with medical staff, and enhancing clinical programs. She previously held executive roles with Nebraska Medicine (Omaha, Neb.), Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital (Goshen, Ind.).

Davidson holds an MBA degree with honors in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Kenosha. In addition, she is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Member of the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

“With compassion, integrity and vision, Paulette continuously demonstrates she is determined to make a difference in the lives of others – all while helping build a health care system that will serve our great region for generations to come,” Green added. “Given this level of commitment, the Board believes Paulette is the perfect choice to lead Monument Health’s next chapter.”
