Regional Health responds to expected blizzard

RAPID CITY, S.D. (11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019) -- With an expected winter storm bearing down on the Black Hills, Regional Health is closing clinics and outpatient services in several areas of the Black Hills.

Regional Health Lead-Deadwood is closing its clinic at 1 p.m. today, 3/13. The Dialysis Unit at the Flormann Clinic in Rapid City is closed until Friday, 3/15. However, Regional Health has scheduled a make-up day for patients on Sunday, 3/17.

Custer and Hot Springs clinics will also close at 1 p.m. today. Sturgis, Spearfish, Belle Fourche and Hill City clinics are closed today. Rapid City clinics are closed today and Thursday, 3/14.

All inpatient and emergency departments at Regional Health hospitals in Rapid City, Sturgis, Spearfish, Lead-Deadwood and Custer will serve patients throughout the storm.

All Rapid City clinics and hospital outpatient departments, including the city's two Urgent Care Clinics, are closed Wednesday and Thursday, March 13-14. The Cancer Care Institute and the Dialysis Unit were open for a time Wednesday morning.

Regional Health Clinics in Lead-Deadwood, Custer, and Hot Springs will close 1 p.m. Wednesday. Regional Health clinics in Sturgis, Spearfish, Hill City and Belle Fourche are closed all day Wednesday.

All inpatient and emergency departments at Regional Health hospitals in Rapid City, Sturgis, Spearfish, Lead-Deadwood and Custer will continue serving patients through the storm.
