Make Your Comeback Speaker Series: Dick Beardsley

Dick Beardsley is a best-selling author and champion in running and in life. He is a two-time winner of Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth and the winner of the first London Marathon in 1981. His performance at the 1982 Boston Marathon is still considered one of the greatest marathon races of all time. Today, Dick is a compelling motivational/inspirational speaker and author of his own autobiography, Staying the Course.

Whether Dick is talking about his world class running career or the beginnings of his horrific addiction to narcotic pain medicines, an individual will leave this event a changed person. The story of Dick’s running career alone is the stuff of legends, but it is the story that comes after that draws people in and keeps them listening. Dick is a true survivor.
