Pharmacy Residency Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program

Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program

Regional Health Rapid City Hospital accepts three residents each year for a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program, beginning in late June. Residents are full-time and benefit-eligible. Residents will conduct and present research as well as have an opportunity to receive a teaching certificate through South Dakota State University and a leadership certificate. Preceptors tailor the program to meet residents’ individual goals.

PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

For additional information, please contact Katie M. Hayes, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Residency Program Director at (605) 755-0212 or khayes@regionalhealth.org.
