Do you enjoy helping people but are not a licensed caregiver? A career as a Patient Care Technician may be for you! No experience is necessary and Regional Health will provide you with all of the required training. A Patient Care Technician at Rapid City Regional Hospital is also called a PCT. Other common names for this position are Certified Nurses' Assistant, Nurse Aide, or Personal Care Assistant. A PCT is under the direct supervision of a nurse and is responsible for the direct patient care needs in the hospital. Hours : PRN Shifts: Varied/rotating shifts including weekends Duties that can be expected during your shift would be: Bathing, toileting and catheter care Assistance with meal feeding and walking Answering call lights Changing soiled linens Relaying important information to the nurse Documenting patient information on electronic medical records   Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required Certified Nurse Aide preferred, but not required
